CULTIVATION OF TALENTS FOR OIL PAINTING OF ETHNIC MINORITIES IN GUANGXI is a competitive program within the oil painting department at the GuangXi Arts Institute, Nanning, that features a group of professors from within the painting department at the GuangXi Arts Institute, visiting professors from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing and invited international faculty who teach, lecture, exhibit and conduct ongoing research with a core group of painting professors into materials, methodologies, and pictorial theory in contemporary painting.  This on-going artist-in-residence and research program was started in 2019 by Professor Guang He, Chair of Painting at the GuangXi Arts Institute, Nanning and is funded by the GuangXi Arts Institute and the Chinese Central Government.
