Upcoming Project | Women of Faith Fresco Cycle with Studio Balma    -     Terni, Italy

The image comes from a project called Deep North. Deep North is a short film and series of photographs centered around a life-sized replica of a furnished New Orleans shotgun house, built in St. Paul, Minnesota. (in my backyard) The house included bedrooms, living spaces, furniture, and household objects, and was completely encased, inside and out, in thick ice during sub-zero winter temperatures.

The work feels particularly resonant presented at Case Arts, a former church transformed into a home, artist’s studio, and gathering place.
